December

In memory of St. Anne's upcoming 115th anniversary, the theme of the fair was"A Good Old-fashioned Christmas Fair". Victorian clothing homemade goods and foods were the theme of the day.

St. Anne's was visited by one of our bishops, The Rt. Rev'd Gayle Harris. Besides confirming and receiving people into the church, the bishop spent time with parishioners during a potluck lunch and several discussions and meetings. Everyone enjoyed her presence.

October Many things occurred this month. We had an attorney discuss wills. Specifically, what is important to include in a will and the different type of wills. As usual, the All-Parish Event was held at the Masonic Hall during the dinner hour. As a special part of the evening, a professional magician, who specializes in entertaining families, kept parishioners entertained. The month closed out with a Family Halloween Costume Party in Bixby Hall.
September

The annual Welcome Back Brunch was held. Our new cookbook,"The Happy Cooker", was introduced. Members of various ministries were on hand to answer any questions that parishioners had. An open house took place in the new decorated atriums of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program.

Alpha began another session with a Celebration Dinner.

June St. Anne's Golf Tournament was held at the Tewksbury Country Club on Route 38, Tewksbury, MA at 10 AM. The tournament, which included a barbecue lunch, was a 9-hole contest with teams of 4 using best ball format. There were prizes for the top 2 teams.
May Recognition Sunday was held during the middle of the month. This day is set aside to recognize the youth's participation in the parish throughout the year.
Lent/Easter This year's Lenten/Easter was filled with things old and new. Our traditional involvement with the Ecumenical Lunches continued. Also continued from year to year was the traditional Maundy Thursday service, the Good Friday Liturgy at noon, the Way of Sorrows service on Friday evening and the Resurrection Day services with the annual breakfast in between. New things included running an Alpha course during Lent, reenacting the Last Supper with the children during Holy Week via the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program and having an open discussion of the movie, The Passion of Christ.
January It's January, so that means it's another Annual Meeting! As usual we thanked those whose service had ended and welcomed those who were coming on to volunteer their time on the vestry (lay leadership), and other positions. Prior to the meeting, a couple of presentations were given. One was on a Diocesan Youth Leadership Training opportunity granted to one of our teens. The other was a meditative presentation about the Mystery of Life and Death from the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. Of course the whole thing ended with a potluck lunch!
