Lent 2006

Dear Friends,

Peace be with you. As we move through the days and weeks of Lent, it is clear that our God has great love for all people - saint and sinner alike. We are reminded over and over again of the covenant relationship which comes to us in new ways each time we let God down. This latest new covenant is the epitome of love as God's only begotten Son take on our nature and comes among us to reconcile us to God in His living and in His dying. Followers of Jesus in all ages and times are invited to walk with Him toward the cross relinquishing control of any power or ambition or even life itself, if it attempts to get in between them and God.

As we approach Holy Week - the most sacred of weeks - please come and affirm your place in the drama. Take up your cross and follow Jesus to Calvary and beyond.

Faithfully,

Peggy
