Welcome to St. Anne’s!

At St. Anne’s, we are so glad you have chosen to join our congregation. Welcome to the vibrant spiritual and community life that we offer to you and to our whole town and region. We welcome your whole self, your whole family, your faith and your doubts. We are human which means messy and glorious, all at the same time!

St. Anne’s has been here for over 130 years, with Episcopalians from Billerica and surrounding towns serving our community with heart and mind and strength. We actively participate in the Billerica Community Pantry, and in the Interfaith Association. We are members of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts including 180 congregations, basically, east of route 495, east of Worcester. We live in the Merrimack Valley Deanery, one of the 12 deaneries of our Diocese.

Our Sunday morning congregation meets at 10am for worship. Many parishioners work together to lead our worship every week. Your voice and gifts are welcome. We hold weekly Bible Studies and monthly Children’s formation. Our Social Group meets monthly for a meal and/or fellowship. Our Outreach committee contributes to multiple programs per month, as well as helps to lead the Billerica Community Pantry.

For a small church with part-time clergy leadership, we thrive at serving the needs around us, with flexibility. We depend on St. Paul’s words as found in Ephesians 4:11-13:

“But that doesn’t mean you should all look and speak and act the same. Out of the generosity of Christ, each of us is given our own gift. …. He handed out gifts above and below, filled heaven with his gifts, filled earth with his gifts. He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher to train Christ’s followers in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the church, until we’re all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.”

From The Message translation

You are most welcome here!

With anticipation,

The Rev’d Jennifer D. Beal, Rector
